What we believe

Environ is a civil engineering business with a purpose – to deliver infrastructure without impacting the planet.

Environ was established with a vision to become the first self-delivery infrastructure business to offer a net zero service to the highways market.

We monitor and explore new innovative approaches and alternative sustainable solutions across equipment, logistics and materials technology as they reach the market to ensure we are at the forefront of the net-zero revolution in the construction industry.

Although there are many Civil Engineering contractors out there, who are striving to reduce their carbon footprint and operate in the same sectors, we have the advantage of being a fledgling business who can implement sustainable approaches from the outset.

This is demonstrated through the construction of our new group head office, where we have been able to introduce the following sustainable technologies:

• Air Source Heat Pumps
• EV Chargers
• Zero Gas
• Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR)
• Solar + Battery

Sustainability without compromise

In order to promote our philosophy of ‘Sustainability without compromise’, we are committed to educating our staff to ensure this ethos is driven across the business. 

As a company we look to promote sustainable innovation from pre-contract through to completion of a construction project.

From the initial receipt of a tender, we carry out a review of the documentation, discuss internally and engage with our supply chain to establish sustainable approaches that we can propose for a particular project. 

Key sustainable methods that we implement as a standard include:

• Biofuels being used in lieu of fossil fuels
• Eco Welfare Units for temporary accommodation
• Low carbon asphalt mix alternatives
• Low carbon readymix concrete alternatives
• Various recycled construction products
